How do the lower quarters and fenders look, are the floors still there, and is the trunk floor and channel rust free???
The amount of rust damage will greatly affect the value. If it's been sitting in that field for that long, the frame rails might be gone too, and that might not be something you would want to attempt to repair. If it's not too bad underneath, I'd flash $6k in his face and see if he bites at it.

Like mr340 said, it all depends on what the underside looks like. The sheet metal looks solid from the top, but I'd check out the frame and floors very closely, depending on how long it has sat there. If it's good and solid all around & underneath, 6-7K would be fair. If it's rusted underneath, I think I'd pass on it entirely.
