Theres this guy in my small town that owns many cars, long story

He has a 68 charger, he told me 5k for it.... The first mod i would get for it would be a dual exhaust, where would I find one at?

Im still deciding weither or not to get it

Its auto with a 383

If it's in decent shape., I wouldn't think that's too high, and you could probably get your money back on resale. Just my .02

383 is a V6 or V8?

That's a good price these days for a 68, especially a big block- if it's in decent condition, grab it- you can always resell it for a profit. If it's a single exhaust, must be a 2 barrel version. Chrysler didn't make V6's in 68. There are several exhaust system manufacturers out there- best thing to do is to pick up a Hemmings or MCG and scan the parts advertisers there.

All high performance 383's are dual exhaust, but as previously mentioned the 383 2bbl's are single exhaust since they are not high performance. It is easily worth $1,000 and I would grab it. Everything is available for it from the various resto companies. I found my dad's current '69 Charger show car years ago for $1,000 and it was a 383 2bbl in primer with many issues that needed fixing. It has been redone and wins awards at most every car show it's in and has been the overall points winner in class 3 years straight in the Chrysler Classics. Here's a few fairly current pics of it:

It all depends on which 383 it is, there's 3 different versions.
