hmmm...new 06 Magnum SRT8 still on the lot...why didn't it sell?
My 1st post with you folks. I'm not a dodge owner (yet?) I was car shopping and saw my Dodge dealer still has a new 06 red SRT8 Magnum on the lot with their original sticker price $43K /MSRP $39K. After driving it and haggling about it, they offered me 2K below Employee discount price, about 32K, plus they'll throw in navigation. And they'll even give me more than my trade in is worth! Seems like a good deal to me, an SRT8 cheaper than an RT.
I'm worried about why a premium performance vehicle that should have had a waiting list, is still collecting dust and they're acting desperate to sell it. Maybe gas prices?
What's the real world MPG you SRT8 guys get?
Do the SRT8's have the system that the RT has thatshuts down cylinders for MPG improvement?
Does it tow, if so , more than 3500lbs?
I'm duplicatingthis in the Magnum and SRT8 forums. Any input is appreciated.

Real world mpg. "normal city driving 11-12mpg., hwy under 80mph 20-21. Engine does not alter # of cylinders fring. Towing capacity is very low and not recommended for the SRT model. perhaps due to differntial type?
