Default Throttle Body Spacer

Does anyone have any real world experience with adding a throttle body spacer? I am getting a free one as a promo, but the engineer in me says that there is no valid reason this should work for our engine configuration. In fact, it may add resistance to the airflow and actually hurt power.

Anyfeedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

I took my spacer out. The sound of the K&N Intake was better.

I have installed spacers in all my gas powered vehicles, noticeable mid-range increase as well as better gas mileage. If you have a cold air intake kit, it may take some trimming or custom work to get the cold air kit to fit correctly. It worth $100 or so to me.

I bought my last throttle body spacer from Jet Performance products. I have not run my Impala on a dyno yet due to ice and snow on our roads. When Itraded up for my Cummins,I included the dyno sheet with . As far as my results, they were about the same as what Jet claims.
I would be interested in knowing the differences between other makers of throttle body spacers. I will post dyno results come spring.

SORRY..........I may have given the wrong link to the dyno results. Since I'm on the road and using my cell phone to connect to the Internet, its kinda slow, with poor quality video.
