interior mod
Hello,
I have purchased a new 2007 Magnum last month. Love it. So far, I have done only interior mods. BTW, a quick question. I bought it early December. It has all the options missing only the DVD player for the kids. I paid $38K for it (over 5k off). I feel I paid too much. Any comments?
I found the interior very boring for such a fast car. I have redone the front seat with red leather (see pics). $500, not bad considering the labor. I will do the back seats next month.
Next mods on the list are.
Cold Air Intake. Don't know which one yet.
Exhaust cut-outs. Later this month. There are several clips on YouTube. Look at them.
Back seats in red leather to.
Backup camera. I had an Infinity QX56 prior to the Magnum. It came with a backup camera. I thought that it was a gimmick first, but it is very practical. You can park to within a couple of inches to whatever is back there and the visibility in the rear is not good to start with.
Oil pressure and temperature gauges.
Wheels. I think the car should have much wider tires. I don't know if I should go with 20" or 22". With the additional weight of 22's and the larger diameter,I am afraid that it will affect the performance too much (any comments?). Please see the link below. I like the wheels a lot (hate chrome); they really look like Viper's. The price seems very reasonable for a wheels/tires packageconsidering the size of the wheels. With 305/30/22 at the rear, it should look very aggressive.

I like this gauge package too. Cheap it is. Quality? Most likely not, but it is for look. The car has a temp/pressure gauge already

Well I think a high optioned magnum for 38k new is a very good deal maybe could have gotten it down to 37k but most likely not much lower. As for the tires 305'smaybe alittle over kill with the light performance modd's you have in mind. A buddy of mine just got a 07 SRT-8 slightly used with 6k miles. First thing he did was throw on 275's and the car hooked very well, then he added a exhaust, intake, headers, and a mild cam. After that he could spin the 275's pretty well, so 285's were put and the hooks like it did stock with the 275's. Unless you are planing on 450HP or more then 305's are not needed, with them you'll probably justhave alight chirp and go.
