Got a PM from one of the Brampton assembly line workers this evening advising me that my Magnum is/was in the paint shop today. Hope this means I'll beat the July 1st, two-week, shut down! Still have 8 days left and, from what I have gleaned, my car should be completed in the next few days. I'll keep you all posted!

What is the July 1st shut down for?

 

They shut down for vacations time and maybe re-tooling or whatever! I just now for a fact that they will be shut down from July1 - 14th or 15th. It's the main topic on the private areas, where people are tracking their cars. Since I only had 3 choices, I chose Black. I really think they should have offered the SRT8's, in all lines, in unique colors, but they didn't. I have a garage and a deal for unlimited car washes locally for $29.99 per month so I will keep this puppy pristine! (Actually this unlimited car wash deal is available in a lot of areas on the intrnet. PM me and I'll give you the link) And the great thing is that my favorite Mexican Restrauant is next door to the Car Wash I'm signing up with so it's a clean car, great food and maybe 1 Margarita while it's being washed!

Here is what sucks! I have a 99% sure feeling if you had the ability to talk to a higher up. You would be able to get a car painted just about any color that the company makes. When celebrities (rappers) get cars they always talk about a custome pain job from the factory that isn't available to the public (other companys not chrysler) Also though, when you see rare cars that were built for an "Executive" I don't see why they don't have an "Executive Order" for customers that would be willing to pay a little more for a rarity. I think the SRT would have been nice with the concept color as a choice. I'd like to see Silver Steel (wait can'tg et that right just Bright Silver?) DANG...Idiots! SRT-s should have SRT colors. Aren't the SRT-4 and SRT-10 both offered in the same Clearcoat Red? I still thikn that would have looked pretty nice on the 8 even thogh the Inferno is very nice. Just boils back down to the uniqueness issue....Thoguhts?

 

My exact feeling. Why not that concept color? That's the color I wanted! May have to paint it myself!
