Charger SRT-8 That thing got a Hemi? Indeed, a 6.1L Hemi that is. The Dodge Charger SRT-8 pounds the pavement with severe power.

No that is impossible. I talked to a member of the SRT team and he said the Charger SRT-8 is not expected in dealerships until next March or April. I just picked up my SRT8 Magnum and talked to the dealership about how hard these are to get. This was the only one I could find in Northern California. I don't think next month is a viable option for the Charger.
March or April? I cannot imagine they will produce from Sept til Mar before selling them. I agree next month is not happening, but with Magnum production started in early June,

http://www.srtforums.com/forums/show...num+production

and first showroom reports happening real close to that

http://lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=13610

which leads me to believe that we will see the first showroom cars around the last week of Sept, first week of Oct.

Of course, when exactly we'll see my car, who knows. The poor 300C guys are all over the map.

glhs,
Based on my Magnum SRT8 build experience, if they start building the Charger SRT8 on Sept.12 as scheduled, the first ones, for the normal buyer with no inside juice, should start hitting the dealers around the middle of November, with no production snags. (ie: Kicker!) I placed my order on May 6, which was within 12 hours of when they were available to order on the dealers computers. I should get mine this week. That makes it about 80 days, here on the West Coast and I know there have been some delivered in the last two weeks, so that would make it 65 days or so. Do the math, November 15-20th is my prediction.

This total S.O.T.P.!

Ordering vs when they just show up is always a crapshoot. There are ones that just showed up, as opposed to you, who ordered a while ago. But I think we agree that Mar/April is not realisitic, unless something has happened to change the initial build date.

Well! Here I sit another day without my SRT8! I was told, before I left on vacation, that it would be here on the 14th. When I got back, the computer was showing that it would be delivered on the 25th. (next Monday) Dealer explained that it went to a holding area on the 14th. (Where it has been locked up with windows rolled up in 100+ degree weather. Black, of course!)

Even though it was within 35 miles from home on the 14th and the dealer tried to "fast-track" it, it'll be here on the 25th. Or later. Probably.

Oh, what the heck. I've waited this long. What's another few F.....................ing days? I'm a pretty patient F...............g guy anyways!

Will post pics and the blow-by blow dlivery experience as soon as I actually have the G.D. car in my possession!

Patiently (or Un) yours,

KK

Yep I was talking specifically about the Charger especially since I have owned a Magnum SRT8 since July 4th

Yeah I Got A Hemi,
Hate to burst your bubble, but I saw Engine Build #2 of the Chrysler 300 SRT-8 last month in Huntington Beach, Ca. In person. No Sales guy saying that they're coming in, no BS Thread saying they heard from a friend of a cousin of the guy who works in a Garage that knows someone who steals some stuff... I saw one. Cool Rims too! Have to admit that I have not seen a Magnum SRT-8 yet, though. Maybe next week! GO QZKING!!!
