I found this on Wikipedia... a scan from the April 2017 issue of Autocar (not sure if that's even out yet) shows that the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat eats the Tesla Model S P100D out before finishing a 1/4-mile. 11.4 sec on the Tesla, 11.3 on the Hellcat. In Motor Trend, the Tesla P85D ran an 11.7 to the Hellcat's 11.8, the P90D ran a 10.9, and the P100D a 10.5. Is Motor Trend full of lies and Autocar full of the truth?!?! Yaa tell me!!

That shows the difference between torque and horsepower! I enjoy the idea of electric vehicles, but I am not yet convinced they will fully replace combustion vehicles as soon as they are being projected. It's hard to hold down a Hellcat.
