SRT8 JUST ARRIVED
I can vouch for Bill P. great guy, known Viper guru
I know a Charger SRT-8 owenr in Long island just got one from Bill. Thats right, he bought his car from Bill P in Nebraska. His account was pretty cool, he had a phone number to stay in touch with the driver of the enclosed truck it came to him in.
The driver got to his house early, and waited an hour and a half for him t get there, just so the new owner could watch it come off the truck. then, to back it out, the truck driver removed his shoes and belt, and his change from his pocket. Now, thats service.

its because no one wants the viper...so they cant mark it up that much..on the other hand, the new srt8s are in high demand, so some places may want that much. my advice, check around for more desolate area dodge dealerships...if you find one in the middle of no where, they would be happy to move an SRT8, so they likely wont gouge you like this.

I think to be politically correct, It is not because no one wants the viper, it is because no one cannot afford to buy a viper! I want a viper but cannot afford to pay for it much less the insurance it cost to have it also!
The key to getting a good deal on any new car is to wait till the hype has died down. American brands are in a real bind right now. When I bought my magnum in March I paid MSRP, now you can get them for good clip under MSRP. The SRT8 Charger is awesome, but doesn't warrant paying over MSRP, and if you can get it under, all the better.
As for the Viper, I really can't agree that nobody wants one (that category has the Stratus in it though, hehe) I think people just can't afford them, and if they can, they will likely be looking at a Z06 now that has taken over as the schoolyard bully.
Bill Pimberton is a great great great guy, he sold me the warranty on a Viper I bought private party, a real gentleman.
