I have a SRT-8 6.1. My head blew and my rod tore the crap out of it. It is not repairable in a machine shop. How do I get a list of compatable vehicles that share the casting number of the head? The prices online are crazy outrageous.

I see em for around 600 or so in a lot of places..... Do you really want to go with a used head??

 

I am a good mechanic and have an excellent machine shop. It may be my only option.

 

You are going to want the correct casting number on the head. (part number) It is my understanding that there is indeed a difference between left, and right side heads...... I don't really know what all engines used that particular casting though.
