Slow to turn over
Hi
I have a 2006 srt8 charger with 275000 miles. It runs like a dream and I love driving it. However, it has an issue. When it's warm, it's slow to crank when starting. Almost to the point of not turning over.
I've changed the starter, alternator, battery and earth cables. Even swapped the starter relay. Still no better.
I've seen this problem reported elsewhere but no one mentions if the problem got fixed.
Anyone have any ideas?
It's getting to the point I don't want to take it out as it's getting worse.
Thanks

Test voltage at the solenoid wire when the key is in the start position. Should be at least 9 volts. (more is better.
)
Might try pulling the starter again, and making sure it has a good clean mounting surface to ground thru.
If there are additional ground cables between engine and body, or engine and subframe, clean those as well.
Any cables getting hot while cranking?

not sure tbh on the cables. Everything under the hood is hot once it's running but I'll try before it's running. Will have to try and find my volt tester (is in the storage locker somewhere...)
I will take the starter of and have a look. May just change it (again) if I've got it off.
Thanks.. Will have a go next weekend and let you know.
Andy
