Front tires cupping
Here's one,Has anyone had a problem with their front tires cutting. My left front tire is cupping on the outside. It also sounds like there may be a wheel bearing going(which may be the cause)because i have a low speed growl/drone????????
I went to a dealer(not to be named)They said oh you must be cornering too fast, after some arguing they did a wheel alignment and found the toe to be out.The tech apparently said that he has seen it before. It makes sense but you should see everyone turn away when you ask who wants to buy a new tire for the front........
I have a friend who experienced a similar situation with his 300C. In his case, all four of his tires were cupping in the center. The service managers response to this was to tell my friend that it is a normal occurence due to the soft rubber compounds used in modern tires!
Turns out that the toe in was out.The only upside to this fiasco(if you would call it an upside) is that the tech at the dealer ran into the hoist with my car and scuffed the front rim(don't wreck these ones kids mega$$$$$) they had to buy me a new one and I get to keep the old one haha,a full sized spare.
I am experiencing wear indications at 8000miles that the Toe-In is incorrect on my Magnum SRT8 (Eagle F1 Supercar Tires). I am going to have the alignment checked at a high quality alignment shop. If it is set to specs, it may just be the cost of high performance handling. If not to specs, I will press the dealer for corrective action or compensation.
I run 44 psi+ & do not see any excess center wear on all four tires.

Most dealers only warranty the alignment until you drive off the lot. They will tell you they can't be liable for you hitting potholes, curbs, bad tire pressures, cornering too fast and the list goes on. They have a point but if you work with them most good ones will work with you.
