Default Pics of my 69 Dart GTS 383

Here are a few pics of the Dart I recently purchased. Looks like about a 2 year project to me based on the bondo I need to remove and replace with metal!! It will be FUN!
Can anybody advise me on the best place to get new quarters and other body parts?
Thanks
Ernie

Year One or the Paddock should carry dart panels by now. Nice car.

Nice! I would love to have a Dart like that, even if it were only a cheap rusty 318 Dart, I could use it as a winter daily driver until it was fixed up.

Nice catch- as I said in your previous post on the subject, you got a good buy. 383 GTS's are getting pretty hard to come by, and they are getting pricey when you do locate one!

Very nice ride....In the early eighties I had a copper colored 383 4 speed gts but spun a rod and sold it...it was fun but with 4.10 gears it wouldnt hook up my friends 3.91 340 gts got me everytime. Good luck

Actually, it was very common for the 340 GTS to beat the 383 GTS because of the weight difference between the SB 340 and the BB 383.

I love 68 and 69 Dart GTS's! 340 or 383, I don't care. They both are great engines. I really think I will get one some day. Maybe when I'm done restoring my Superbee.

I don't know how pure a restoration you want to do but consider a front disc brake conversion. I had a '69 340 Swinger with four drums. With a little aggressive driving on my part it didn't take long to have the brakes completely fade. I sold the car to build a Barracuda. The girl that ended up with the Dart rear ended someone. She said the brakes failed. Of course, we figure she got the brakes hot. My Barracuda also had four drums. It got destroyed in an accident. Disc brakes would have made all the difference and I would still have the Barracuda. It's now the first upgrade I do whenever I build an older car.

Enough preaching. Great find and good luck with the build!
