Default 72 Duster from V6 to V8, Need help fast!!

I'm getting a 72 Duster Sland 6 car, with a 74 Dart V8 car with disk brakes. My problem is how hard is it to get a 360 in the Duster?

it's not... The slant 6 is an awesome motor.. And I am SOOO very jealous.. I miss my Dusters... I would love to have the Dart with the slant 6, just change the motor mounts around and it's a piece of cake... Mount the slant 6 in the dart, and sell it to me for $50.. PLEASE!?!?!?!?!!

Not quite that simple. the K-frame needs to be swapped along with the trans and the wiring harness. If you are going that far, swap the frond disks and the rear axle assembly also to get the big pattern wheels on it too. Use as much of the parts from the dart as you can including the radiator.

Sorry guys, I knew what things needed to be done but not sure how hard and time consuming the job would be. They are gutted out cars, rolling chassis and that's it. I have a post under second gen Dakotas. I decided to keep my Dakota with my stroker and deal with it. Just for fun, I'm going to look at 71 Dart Swinger a guy wants to trade me, and it's got a 360 in it.

Oh and for the record, Ill tear the 8 1/4 in that 74 Dart to a million pieces LOL it's just way to small for my engine.

When we swapped the 6 outta my buddies Duster for a 360, all we had to change was the motor mounts.. The tranny is a given, and the radiator, because it needs a bigger radiator... The Duster should hold a 360 easily.. The 74 I had came to me with a 440 in it, so I didn't have to anything but tweak it up.. But, I have seen more than my share of guys rip out the 6 and ddrop in a 360 without much difficulty.. Now granted, my Buddy had a 74 Duster, and this one he has here is a 72... Is that the difference? I know there are a few styling differences between the 72 and the 74...

These motor mounts simplify the process dramatically..

So you don't have to change the K frame, Also, May I just mention though, that the Slant Six is still the Greatest motor ever made....

I will be honest dont know to much about this process but what about the torsion bars, shouldnt you beef these up as well? or does it make that much of a differance?

well, you should beef up the torsion bars, that's all you would really need to do to the front end...

i did my 71 dart swinger. i bought a 75 valiant front k member with discs before there was a front disc conversion kit for the slant six spindles. so i ended up with a v8 instead of the six and disc brakes.

i had bought a 318, 727, and 8 3/4 from a guy for 600$. it came in a rusted out duster.
