Bored and Stroked to death at work
My 340 needed to be rebuilt and I decided to have it stroked as well as .030 bored over. It now has a full (5 radius) CNC ported cylinder heads, rockers, intake runner, and lifters from Indy. A new cam shaft from Lunati rounds out the top half. RPM stroker kit to make the 340 into a 416 cid that includes new high compression pistons, rings, and connecting rods for the lower half. It has a brakehorsepower at 5000 RPM of 480 corrected HP and 540 corrected torque. At 3000 RPM it has 300 HP and 440 torque. Too bad the Demon does not have power steering or power brakes as I finally changed the front drums out for non-powered disks,

Should be able to pick it up this week from the engine builder,

Thanks, I have to post some pictures later as the ones in my portfolio are outdated as the engine was 80 % done when I took the pictures (new valve covers, and e-fan). Every 16 year old in a Mitsubishi or Suburu wants to race me now is the only drawback,

The discs are diffently better than the stock drums. My Coronet has power drums and it seems to stop better although the brake seems to 'spongy'. The discs are hard with no play in the pedal feel, which is nice. I would like to see your Satellite and Duster, mr340,

Here are some photos of the engine. I need to clean u the engine bay wiring as I just replaced the alternator and the fuel line seems too close to the valve covers (no vapor lock):

You originally had front drums? I'm guessing it's not a LM29H original 340 car, I have never seen a 340 Demon with front drums, I thought the K-H 4 piston was standard on the LM29H.
I will have to get some pics posted up here.
Right now the Duster is completely disassembled for resto.

It is an original Demon wth drum brakes. My VIN is LM29H1B232XXX and I have the build sheet. No one believes me that it was ordered orange on orange, automatic, 340 cid, no power steering, and no power drum brakes. The guy in California who bought it new used it to drag race and I guess he wanted a 'stripper'. I need to replace the radiator hose and the puny 6" air cleaner as my original 'four barrel' air cleaner will not fit with the high rise intake manifold (it hits the hood bracing). I have all the original parts such as the valve covers, cylinder heads, drum brakes, and wheels that I may sell in the future,

That sounds like someone ordered that car to go really fast really straight and turn left 1/4 mile at a time. I have seen others with that color combo, so I'm not surprised. Based on all the other lofat options, I'm going to guess it's also a column shift car.
