Motor swap question
Hey guys I just purchased a 1974 Dodge Dart Sport. It currently has a slant six in it and I have a modified rebuilt 1984 LA 318 I want to put in it with a 1984 727 Tranny. Will this motor fit in this car with these motor mounts. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ax...dge/model/dart My current 1984 318 has that four bolt hole patern on the block for both left and right mounts. The only thing different from the two are the actual mounting surfaces. The dodge dart has the sleaved single bolt with the rubber softner in the sleave. The dodge truck I got the motor out of and the current motor mounts sit on a bolt with a rubber pad under it.
My question is will these mounts for a 74' 318 work on my 84' 318?
Heres a picture of my motor with its current mounts on it. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/members...0&ref=gnr-prev

Shouldn't be a problem. I understand that all 273-318 blocks were the same mounting, I think even thru the Magnum engines (5.2L). Only the 360 (or 5.9L) was different, on one side. Indeed, the only way to distinguish a 273-318 block externally is from the casting numbers. I think you will need an oil pan for a car since truck pans differed. You can't use a 360 pan since it had a bigger rear bearing.
