Unhappy Powder Coat or Paint???

I have a '69 Swinger that is being redone and I'm not sure which route to take with the rear, drive shaft and front suspension. I could have it all powder coated for about 4 bills or should I just paint everything. Just looking for some opinions on what everyone else thinks. I never had anything powder coated and was wondeing if it would hold up better than the paint or would the heat that it uses to coat the parts cause potential damage to them, like the drive shaft and front suspension parts. Any advice would be greatly appeciated.

it depends on how your using the car... If it's a daily driver, then paint wont last for $h1t.. I would suggest doing color powder coating, Paint will look horrible real fast..

If it's show only, a trailer queen, paint will do nicely..

Proper masking inside the joint bearing races will keep the proper diameter for the bearings to seat ... As the powder coat can effect that and it's a pain to clean out ...

OH no, no, no. No trailer queen here. What fun is there looking at a car. Now, grabbing gears and layin' down some ess's... now that's fun! I'll keep in mind about the bearing races too and ask the shop how they'll go about it. Thanks for the input.

There are plastic plugs that can go in or some just mask off with high seat tape , (as it's baked on at 400 degrees) , Others just wipe off the powder after it's been sprayed, before they go baking ...

Powder. It's the only way to do anything that can be baked. Easier to clean too.
