detail question
Hey guys i was just wondering if there was a type of wax or polish or something that when it rains on it that it wont make the paint look all dirty? lol.... cause i am TIRED of spending hours washing and waxing my car and then in 2 days it rains and the rain dries and it then looks like crap again. so is there a type of wax that would allow the rain water to just fall off the paint so that it doesn't dry on the paint?
I know there has to be... I dont bother looking for myself, I just re wash it if it looks bad. But usually if the vechile only sits in the driveway while it is raining, you should not be getting spots(on bright colored vechiles). What is the current wash and wax that you are using?
you may want to look into some of the Rain X product line, Im pretty sure they have a spray that you can use on the paint of the car.

when you run out of the turtle wax stuff try getting some Megs Gold Class wash, and some Megs Wax.. you use the cleaner wax, but if your car is a darker color you may want something more synthetic(like Megs NXT wax)
the problems with waxes and washes is that all cars are not the same color... what will make my black liberty look great may not make my red durango look so good, and vise versa..

try the Meguiars NXT wax, see how you like it, since you have a darker color
also try reading up on the rainx stuff... I dont know much about it, but if it does what your looking for, then cool

buy a rubber shammy when the rain stops go out there and dry the truck/car off it will look just as good and it should only take about 10 min

NXT is the best wax I've used (for the money too). I used a clay bar as Dodges are notorious for having overspray on their cars, then do the cleaner wax routine, then the NXT. I actually use the meguires detail spray for the windows, hardly use the windshield wipers. I have the Orange Blast paint, the looks great most of the time, of course you cant make it look that good all the time.
have fun

My Truck is black, my car is emerald green. The NXT stuff is awesome. I live in the woods, so, the rain always falls here. The rain takes two or three rains to leave spots.
