Removing emblems question
I have a 06 megacab and I would like to remove the emblems (2500, megacab, heavy duty, cummins)from the sides and tailgate.
Does anybody have a idea on how to do this with no damage to the paint? Also are any of them pinned on or do they use epoxy on all of them?
Thanks
Mark

On my '04, I used fishing line to cut them off (cutting the sticky foam backing), then I used bug and tar remover to get the rest off. Pretty simple process.
As for the 06 having pins or epoxy, I'm not sure...

use a head gun and slowly peel back on the emblem wash your car before doing this. most of the adheasive backing should come off with the emblem if not heat it up with the heat gun and use a soft cotton glove to roll the rest off wax area when cool after
so you know, wd40 will probably work better than bug and tar remover. atleast i have found it to work better. and fyi, wd40 will NOT harm your paint. the wd stands for water displacement, and 40 was because it was the 40th formula that they decided to use. it is actually safe on a lot of things. google wd40 uses, there are thousands
