I know what you mean about some of the drivers on that road, just insane. I heard the highway upgrades are almost done now and the new bridge is open. Good to see that moving forward. We didnt get called up to finish up the project we started last year. I dont think the company we were hired to work for made a very good impression. Hopeful for a big job at firebag though. New landfill going in as I recall. We might get the call for that one!
I don't know if you'd call anything almost done up here... The 2 interchanges they are putting in at the bottom of Thickwood/Timberlea are still a ways away.. The thickwood one is done.. Timberlea, we'll see when they finally bring that one online. The bridges are still being sorted out, and of course the 63 upgrades from Edmonton are about as slow as they can possibly drag them out. The PCs are in, again, we'll see if they hold true to their promise.. from 6 years ago.

Hopefully you guys get the contract... the work up here is good, and it pays well. Its good for everyone in Canada/North America to have this forging ahead, responsibly of course.

ditch the hemi for a cummins then!

my fuel economy depends on time of year and mood...

winter blend fuel sucks and i get 12-14mpg 14 being good and 12 hot roddin.

summer blend fuel is 14-17mpg. 14 hot roddin and 17 driving easy.

Brand new 2012 with 490 miles. The vehicle info center is showing 16.8-17.0mpg combined city/highway so far.

With an 03 you should be atleast around 18 i would think.

Hooked my 8k Travel Trailer up the other day for an outing, averaged 8.3mpg @65-70. Needless to say i dont think im going to be pulling it for my 3500mile vacation roadtrip this year as i initially intended to.

My buddy has a 2011 gmc sierra 6.2 v8 pulled his 7,000lb trailer loaded down to fl and back was like 2,600 miles and got 10mpg the whole time. He wasnt going slow either he said once he hit i95 he was doing 75 the whole time. I would think the diesel would be averaging better mpg at least like 13 or so
