Did they put the same alternator in the Cummins as the Caravan? If they did, it's got some sort of one way clutch or some BS in there that'll do that.

i believe i found the issue

i compared the power steering pump i had installed to my old one and noticed my pulley on the current pump wasnt on the shaft as deep as my old one.

so i believe that is causing my belt to slip forward on the fan pulley and thus causing a squeal.

so im gonna press my pulley in more and hopefully fixes it

so i finally fixed that darn squeal

i cleaned all my pullies, they had some nasty stuff on them from belt dressing and soap and wd40 and all kinds of crap

i bought a brand spanking new tensioner(gates), it looked different from my stock temsioner, its bigger and pully is metal instead of plastic, had heck putting on my belt from the tension on this pulley...

the squeal is gone my friends, praise the lord for that

I have found that squealing is almost always something to do with the belt and/or their alignment. Glad you fixed it!
