squealing from somewhere in engine
alright guys
i have a 10 dodge ram 2500 6.7 cummins 4x4
ive had a squeal coming from the engine compartment for a while now
ive checked all pullies and all seem good
ive put on 2 new belts
changed power steering, tensioner, and idler
still the mother f'er squeaks
now my question is.... when i spin the alterantor pulley then grab it to stop, something inside keep on spinning and i can pull out my pulley about and 1/8 of an inch
who can give me knowledge on that

i believe i found the issue
i compared the power steering pump i had installed to my old one and noticed my pulley on the current pump wasnt on the shaft as deep as my old one.
so i believe that is causing my belt to slip forward on the fan pulley and thus causing a squeal.
so im gonna press my pulley in more and hopefully fixes it

so i finally fixed that darn squeal
i cleaned all my pullies, they had some nasty stuff on them from belt dressing and soap and wd40 and all kinds of crap
i bought a brand spanking new tensioner(gates), it looked different from my stock temsioner, its bigger and pully is metal instead of plastic, had heck putting on my belt from the tension on this pulley...
the squeal is gone my friends, praise the lord for that
