Cool Diesel fuel filter removal ??

OK. I am back again with another problem. This is on my 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel.
I am trying to change the fuel filter and am having considerable trouble. First off it is in a very tight space and second, I apparently do not have the right tool.
So can somebody tell me what kind of tool I need to help unscrew the housing? I have tried my oil filter wrenches but nothing works because I can not apply enough pressure to make it turn. I am wondering if maybe there is a special tool designed for the task?? Auto parts places are clueless.

There should be a hex on the top of the cap. Use an 1 1/8 inch socket on it and it should come right off.

A little Vaseline on the cap threads at re-assemble may help next time.

OK, Thanks. Appreciate the answer. Had to stand on my head and get it done. What happened to the auto engineering industry? lol

Their outright hatred for technicians has only grown. That is the only reason I can come up with for some of the truly bizarre things they do, that make my life miserable.
