Default Hard Shaking???

2007 2500 Diesel 270,000miles
This has happened twice in the last few months.
I am driving along 55-60mph... A few months ago I hit a series of little bumps in the road, Yesterday I got on the rumble strip for about 5-6seconds.
So when I hit the series of bumps/rumble strip the entire truck started shaking very hard. It did not stop until I got the truck to the side of the road and came to a complete stop.
Once I stopped I carefully took off again and and slowly got back up to speed, the truck ran without issue each time.

Any idea what is causing this to happen and what needs to be done to fix it?

thabnk you,

Mike

Solid axle front end? Is that "Death Wobble"? Don't know if that actually applies to the newer trucks...... How are your steering components? Track Bar?

Yes the dreaded death wobble.
Ball joints, track bar bushing, steering components worn.
I had it, replaced all a ove since they were all bad. 200k on the truck since with no issues.
Ram 2007 with 355k.
