Default Lost tranny position lights on dashboard

Hey guys I’m new on this, i read many forums but never registered. So bare with me,,, i bought this truck @as is” from a company i worked for. It was parked for 3 months and ran good, now i can’t start it, it won’t turn over. The only thing i noticed today is that the PRND321 is not illuminated anymore, nothing at all where it should indicate over the mileage.... any idea what to check for? I assume it’s not getting signal that the truck is in park or neutral and won’t crank... where do i start???

There is a sensor on the trans that tells the PCM what gear you are in. Check the connection there first, If you can find wiring diagrams, see if you can put a jumper in the connector to convince the PCM the trans is in Park, see if it will start.

How is your battery???

Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about the newer transmissions, and even less about the diesels.
