Just asking for some suggestions or opinions on this -
I am looking at a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 TRX4 Off Road Quad Cab DRW with a 6.7L L6 OHV 24V TURBO DIESEL. It has 211,413 miles on it and the truck looks in decent condition inside and out via photos. I still need to physically look at it. The dealership is asking $22,800 for it, but the clincher is, I don't know anything about diesels.
Is this a good deal?
How many miles per gallon can I expect?
How many miles can I expect out of this engine if maintained properly?
Anything else you can share would be appreciated, as I don't have family or friends living close to me I can discuss this with ... Thanks in advance!

I had someone contact me and said they had a Dodge diesel similar to this and after 200k miles is when they started having things go wrong. Has anybody else had problems over 200k miles?
OK here goes nothing, First thing I notice is it is totally deleted (I would check the law in your area where I live no dealer can sale a vehicle that has had the smog equipment removed it's an EPA issue) I do not see a programmer anywhere in the interior it appears to have had a level kit installed on the front end I dare guess it had been owned by someone younger they probable will have you to sign a paper saying that you will not drive it on a public road cause it is deleted, be careful of this they'll try and put the responsibility back on you . I have the same year 6.7L Cummins 6sp manual and manual 4wd total delete "my choose due to the PDF plugged up on me" currently my ECM went bad had to have it repaired and re-flashed back to factory settings, still waiting on it to get done $$.
For what it's worth unless they are willing to come down to $10000.00 I'd give it a second thought, it will probable cost that much to put the engine back to stock. Just my thoughts as an owner of a 2007 Dodge bought new for 31.5K
