Default 2006 Ram 3500 Mega Cab

Hey all,

My dad has a 2006 Ram 3500 Mega Cab that he is currently running 275/65r18 tires on stock 18" rims. I read someplace that you can run up to a 35" tire without too much hassle, only some slight rubbing at full lock. Is this correct? I found a set of 285/75r18 tires that appear to work but before buying them I want to make sure I'm not setting him up for more problems. According to the tire size comparison chart I found online, the tires are about 2" bigger in diameter (roughly).

Is there any issue running these tires besides the speedo being off?

Thanks in advance

Steve

3.73 might be a tad light for 35 inch tires....... getting that much truck moving with big tires, and those gears? You will notice the loss of power..... might be better mileage on the freeway though.
