Default Key?

My son recently bought a 2007 Ram 2500 cummins... He was only given one key and it's just a regular key with no buttons. Is this truck supposed to have a key with lock/unlock buttons? There's no power windows or locks on this truck. I do have new door panels with window buttons and will be adding window motors soon.

If the key works, and the truck starts/runs/drives, then you are good. If the truck doesn't have power locks, there will be no button on the key for it.

Both options should work then, but, don't know how much good it will do you. Likely need other parts/programming as well, for the buttons to actually work.

I don't know when I will be adding the power windows, locks and door panels... Not in a rush with that... Today we changed the oil and filter and replaced the rear brake pads and rotors.
