Default Need '08 avenger tire jack storage help!

hi

i had to change a tire not too long ago with the spare tire and the jack, but I forgot how it was stored originally. Now I can't figure out how to put it back! any help is appreciated.

I tried searching the forum for it but couldn't find any info on how the jack is stored in the truck. The owners manual has a drawing but no specific info.

thanks

By the way, this is the site if anybody is looking for the coupon code for the CBS Fantasy Football commissioner...

No,

Spare should be put in the floor with the outside of tire (side that faces out if tire is on vehicle) facing down. Jack goes in next, partially collapsed so it fits inside of spare. The rod with threads sticks through hole in tire, through middle of jack that is laying on inside of spare, and then lug wrench is placed over threaded securing rod through hole in lug wrench. Then wing nut is tightened on threaded rod holding everything in place.

The biggest problem most people have is that they tend to have the spare laying into the storage compartment the wrong way and then the securing rod seems to be not long enough. If this is the case, simply flip the spare over and try again. Hope this helps......
