97 Avenger Interior Light Problem
Hello,
I'm new to the forum and haven't been successful to find a thread that helps with my issue but I am having an issue with my interior lights coming on all the time. I open the door and at times the lights (roof/reading, floor and rear console) don't come on and once in a while they do.
Also, the ring light around the key doesn't always come on either. At first I thought it was just a problem with the button in the hinge/door but there is no button present. I also have a round switch with a light bulb to the right of my steering wheel (under the gauge cluster) that doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure if that switch is the key to my problems or not.
Any ideas or suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Likely the door pin switches are bad/intermittant
Go to the mitsubishi dealer and order a 95/99 eclipse door switch $7/$10 Or get the OEM one from dodge at $21/$30
The round switch you describe is the dimmer for the instrument lighting although it has a "click" it doesn't seem to do anything
