2011 Avenger Lux all factory components gets static as soon as running lights come on. I heard about HID lights affecting radio stations so I was going to try it with out my fog lights but as soon as I hit the running lights I get a loud buzzing

 

Are you getting a bearing type sound? Or is it a Buzzing sound.

 

It's a buzz overtop the AM radio in the sound system. As Soon as the radio dims when running lights come on.

 

Have you check when using FM stations? If you don't have the buzzing sound. I would start checking grounds and maybe plug in a known good antenna.
