Why so many used 2007 Calibers for sale already???
It seems that there is an inordinate number of 2007 Dodge Calibers for sale in my area. It makes me think there is some problem with these cars if so many people are unloading them after only 6 months or so of use andonly10,000 - 25,000 miles. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is there indeed some kind of problem with these cars??? Thanks.
Probably the reason is that the dealers can't keep them in stock so people that have some miles on them are trying to make a buck because there is such a demand for them. They are hard to find and I see no adds for them on TV so they are doing quite well.

Problem?! Its a car like all others, you're going tosee used ones in car lots.It perfectly normal. I've had my Caliber since October of last year, and at this moment I'm looking for something new.My girlfriend and I,are really digging the new 08' Mitsubishi Eclipse GT at the moment. We plan totest drive onenext weekend. Who knows what will happen then! Anyway, I've been really happy with the Caliber. I had a lot of fun dressing it up, and in all a great little ride. Right now, we're going for looks rather thaneconomical, and theEclipse is a great buy for your buck for a sports car.
As of late February 2007 several thousand Caliber SXT's with limited options were returned to the dealers from the rental market. They will have less than 22,000 km on them so they get top buck.
its because they are the low cost model of the current lineup. They have a higher turnover ratio and thus dodge is probably selling more new calibers than new anything else, and thus a higher amount will also be showing up in the used market. Also like others said, the rental market buys large volumes of cheaper cars and those are adding to it.
Im sure it was the same deal when the neon came out.

In reality DCX sold loads of Calibers to the car rental companies
with the buyback stipulation in the fleet lease contracts,so what
you are seeing are those fleet rentals with 15,000-25,000
miles being turned over at DCX dealers for resale.
They must tell you by law that they were daily rentals but
not which rental company they come from.

I know of a couple people who have traded in their Calibers because they are not umm well liked. I am in the same boat but having a hard time accepting the huge $$ loss. If I would have know I would be this unhappy I would have never looked at the Caliber.
It's too bad you have had some bad experiences with your Caliber however this happens
with all cars, you try to make an informed purchase only to find your wants and needs
are not met.
This puts you between the proverbial rock and the hard place especially when your
budget was part of the purchasing equation in the first place.
I think your only option is adapt the car to your needs or sell it privately to get the
from what you have invested.
Good luck!

I have an 08 Caliber on order. I test drove a couple Calibers and one Compass. I like the utility the car offers as well as the mileage. The dealer offered to order me an 08 because he didnt have the options I wanted on the 07's he had on the lot. Since the 08's have no cash back he kicked in an extra $500 on my trade in.
