hey - this is my first post

just got a 2007 dodge caliber sxt sport - with-out the 458 watt system

i am installing a kenwood kvt617-dvd player with touch screen nav and i have found the plastic insert

the question is ........... do i need the chime insert or additional insert for the stereo system??

I can't help you with your radio installation but there are a number of Caliber
owners on caliberforums.com or caliberforumz.com who have done quite
few,maybe you should post there.

If you're installing a nav unit you'll need the differnet dash bezel for the cars that come factory with NAV, The install kit for a caliber w/ factory nav, and either the high dollar power adapter or you can rig one of the older 06+ non canbus plugs to work. If you opt to not buy the 75-125 box for the power plug you will get a check engine light stored in your computer becasue the factory radio is no longer communicating through the bus system. It doesn't set the dash light though, just a stored code saying no coms w/ the radio. Other than that it will work fine.
