Just bought SE without steering wheel /audio controls. Anyone know if this can be installed by ordering the part(s) and spending a Saturday routing wire(s) to back of head unit?

 

I doubt it. I would say u need a new clock spring, for the wires to the controls,Cluster for the input from the clock spring inorder to get it onto the BUS. And maybe a radio.

 

If I remember right from the parts catalog the clockspring was the same between the vehicles, but the wiring didn't exist to run from the clockspring to the radio and the only way to get the wire was buying an entire dash cluster. You could probably hardwire it, but you have to make sure the radio you have will accept steering controls also. The base cd with the ipod jack is not compatible with the controls from what I remember. I ended up going w/ an aftermarket radio so I never actually tried to make this work.
