Angry Fog Light Issue - They Don't work!

I recently bought a Dodge Caliber SXT. Everything works except the foglights. The dashboard indicator works, but the lights themselves do not work.

Aside from the obvious, any suggestions? I've contacted the dealer, and they've yet to call me back. I've called them 3 times already.

Thanks!

I am guessing that you have verified that the bulbs are there and plugged in. Perhaps a relay is not installed in the power distribution box, or they are not activated in the PCM.
They aren't a dealer installed item are they? My 09 SXT does not have them.

Hi there lxman1,

Actually, these fogs were already on the car when I bought it. It's a 2007 SXT. I checked the bulbs, they're fine. Like I mentioned previously as well, the dash indicator comes on as well.

My guess is they're either "unplugged", or the relay you're referring to is shot. No idea where that is though, haven't looked.

In the Caliber (as many other cars today) the electrical
peripherals are controlled by the TIPM (Totally Integrated
Power Module) which is built into the fuse panel under the
hood.Your problem could be as simple as having the dealer
reflash the TIPM.
