Whining sound in transmission when you press the gas.
I have a 2007 Dodge Caliber. When drive the car for awhile and the transmission heats up, it starts making a whining sound when you press the gas. You can spray it down with a hose and the sound stops until it gets hot again. I suspect that its the trans cooler that is clogged. You can buy trans cooler flush in a can, but I'm wondering if you can use that on my model of car?
Which transmission do you have? If the CVT2 then no. It takes a special $30 a quart fluid. There is no dipstick, the dealer must check the fluid with their scan tool. Run it buy your dealer and have them check the fluid first. Do not add anything to the fluid!!
