problem with 2007 dodge caliber

My son called from college and said that nothing on his steering column works, lights, windshield wipers, blinkers, etc Does anyone have any ideas?

That's odd that they would all fail. Might be the multi-function switch in the column. I would check all of the fuses to verify none are blown. Does the radio and such work?
