Exclamation 2007 Caliber Loss of Power

The battery on my 2007 Caliber SXT died and after the boost the engine light was on. The problem is that I cannot get the car to go over 50kmph.
It idles fine, and revs normal in park. You can floor the gas pedal while driving and nothing happens, just stays around 2000rpm. I took the battery cables off and left it for over an hour, but it made no difference.
Any ideas as to a solution would be great.
Thanks.

Try to check it via diagnostic tool.

Yes, you need to scan the computer to see what code is causing the light and your problem. Most auto parts stores will check it for free. Post the code here and we will guide you in the right direction.

If the ETC light comes on while driving your having the same problem my sister is having which i have been told is the ECU needs a softeware patch or reprogramming. Which should be free but guess what there going to charge you up the waa zoo to replace items they think will help the issue. Because most dealerships don't know about this service

Ever figure out what it was Tired??

The ETC light can be caused by a dirty TB, bad TPS on the pedal, software glitch or even a slipping transmission.
