P161b-battery disconnect / tcm internal

I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is normal that the Check Engine Light comes on after replacing the battery.

Maybe if it wasn't unhooked long enough. The code should be able to reset. Might try unhooking the battery for about 1/2hr if you don't have a scan tool to reset it.

No - I just change the battery and I was actually removing it few times, never had a MIL on.
