Caliber problems
Looking to see if anyone can give me some advise on my wifes 1.8 liter Caliber 5 speed no bells and whistles. Last week engine light kicked onwith camshaft sensors with ETC light on. I replaced both cam sensors, and problem went away, until tonight. Now it is giving P0016, P0346, P0344, P0340. It will not let me clear the codes at all. I clear them and they come right back without even starting engine. I am guessing PCM? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
first of all, are you using OEM sensor from Chrysler?
You still have the Old sensor? plug it in and try clearing the code. (just plug it in, don't have to install it).
If not, try bending the male pin "SLIGHTLY" on the sensor with a small flat head screw driver, and try again. Sometimes the problem is a poor connection at the connector.
if any of the above method allows u to clear the code, you need a Pig Tail Connector from the dealership for the Cam sensor.
if that doesn't work, you have to start using your Multimeter and test all wires before condeming the PCM, because all of those codes points to a poor connection or wiring problem with the FRONT cam sensor.

well, you have a 3 wire sensor. Key ON engine Off
get a Multimeter, and measure the voltage
Pin 1 - Brown/Light green wire - look for 5 volts
Pin 2 - Dark Blue/Dark Green wire - this is ground.
take the meter, stick both lead into Pin 1 and Pin 2 of the connector, see if you are reading 5 volts.
If OK, Dark Blue wire(Pin 3) is signal wire from sensor to PCM, connector 2, Pin 57. The Pin number are written ON the connector itself. connector 2 of PCM should be a 96 pin BLACK connector.
you just have to OHM it out, should be less than 0.5ohms.
Also disconnect Camsensor and PCM connector, and Battery negative, Ohm all wires to Ground(battery negative cable), it should ALL be OPEN circuit.
and also OHM out between the pins with PCM and Sensor disconnected, wires can be shorted together. I've seen this a few times where water gets into the connector, and shorting the circuit together INSIDE the connector.
if wires tested OK, Is also possible that u just have a Bad CAM sensor too. try waranty one. and try OEM one.
I highly doubt it is the PCM.

Steak, thank you for your time. I will check it out. I really appreciate your help. I ended up staying up late last night trying to figure this thing out. Ended up loading it on my trailer and took it to the dealership. They told me it need to be reprogramed, of course when I picked it up this evening it didnt make it 100 yards from the dealership when the ETC light kicked on, loss power, no engine light though. Took it right back, going to give them another crack at it. I am going to go ahead and check that harness again when I get it back regardless.
This sound like u need a New Throttle body, or PCM. I've also seen Bad connector behind the left side bumper gets water intrusion. but since u decided to take it in, good luck on the repair.

Well the dealership called today, and said the PCM is bad. Hope they are right. They said they will have it by tomorrow. I will update as soon as I get it back. Other than this problem the car has been pretty much trouble free for 90,000 miles. Just hope they know what they are doing.
Update: Had the car back for a week with new PCM and put about 400 miles on it. Seems to be fixed. They claimed there was no problem with the wiring harness. I wonder if there was though because they kept it for an extra day. I really appreciate your advice with this problem.
