Default 07 caliber transmission problems

I have a 2007 caliber sxt 2.0 with almost 95 k miles on it. I have had it to 3 different mechanics and none can figure out what us wrong with it. The last one did at least agree that there is something wrong but referred me to a transmission specialist, well the only one around here does not handle cvt. while driving down the highway it develops a high whiny sound. First mechanic tried adjusting throttle, it didn't help. From a stop it doesn't shift up. If you don't take your foot off the gas and force it to kind of manually shift, if will not shift on its own. The rpms race all the way up to 6000 and I'm afraid I will blow the engine. Has anyone else heard of this? Any thoughts? I have an extended warranty on it but it runs out at 100k, I'm afraid as soon as its up its going to die!

you have extended waranty, then why not go to the dealer? These Trans are replacement only, no rebuild or repair.
any Check engine light or codes?

No it has never thrown any codes, which is weird. And one of the places I have been to is the dealer, they just said well no codes thrown, there must not be anything wrong with it. I'm not sure what to say to them to make them believe me, plus the one thing my warranty doesn't cover is diagnostic fees, so I'm not really excited about paying more for them to continue to tell me they can't figure it out.

Brent,

Where are you located? Are you the original owner? Who is the service contract through?

We are in northeast Indiana, and I am the second owner, but have had it since 07, bought with around 15k miles on it.

The extended warranty is through Route 66 and they have been great about fixing all the various problems we have had.

My suggestion would be to contact Chrysler (800-992-1997) directly and let them know the symptoms and the information about having an extended warranty. If you take it into a dealer and they cannot figure the problem out then the Customer Assistance Center should get a Chrysler tech involved to help solve the issue. Hopefully there is another dealer in your area other than where you originally took the vehicle for diagnosis. Even if that is the only dealer I would call Chrysler first so they can contact the dealer before you visit.

Can you duplicate the noise if you go on test drive with a Tech? the problem is, when it comes to big ticket item like a Trans, 3rd party waranty company always sends out an inspector. If you can't duplicate any problem in front of the inspector, they will just send u home.
and did you accidentally threw it in Auto-stick mode? what happen if you throw it is neutral when this happens? does noise goes way? and then throw it back at Drive?
