I have a 2009 Dodge Caliber with just over 83K miles. Last night while driving my son back to college, the ABS & Brake Light came on as well as the feeling/sensation of the brake being applied very hard for a split second. After the event, the Brake Light went out first and then the ABS Light. This is the first time that this has happened and it happened three time on this trip and did not seem to happen again the rest of the journey. My concern with this is not som much the warning lights, but the quick/hard application of the brake for that split second. If in snow, ice or heavy rain (especially on a turn), this could be very dangerous. Do you know what might be the issue?

 

Probably one of ur wheel speed sensor glitch out. Might need a Sensor, or a wheel bearing. You will need to take it into shop or dealer to read the code from the ABS module.
On the side note, if you do end up needing a Wheel bearing.
