07 Caliber Window Issue
Hello everyone, I bought a 2007 dodge caliber back in 07 and it is now deciding to fall apart on me. several things are breaking on it, but the first I need to fix is the Window issue.
The rear drivers window made a snapping noise and then it just fell down into the door. I took the panel off and found that the little cable that is attached to the bottom of the window and into the window motor is completely limp.
My questions are, Does this mean I need to replace that little motor or is there some other device in there that is attached to the cable? and is this a job that I could do myself (I have 0 mechanic experience, i'm a computer programmer)?
Anyways, i thank you guys for your time and help.

You'll need to replace what they call a window regulator. It really isn't difficult, but wear glove so you don't hurt your hand, a lot of sharp objects behind there.
I think if you sign up a free account on autozone.com, they will have instructions on replacing the part in their DIY section.
