So not happy!
Was all excited to go up north (approx 180 miles) for a day trip to see my family. Headed up the road about 50 miles into the trip and the trans temp light comes on. Pulled over at the nearest gas station and let it cool down about 25 min and started it back up and no light, I was going about 68 miles per hour with the cruise control on. After I started it up the 2nd time no issues driving into my hometown but I did not use the cruise. On the way home, same thing except it happened twice. So frustrating that I am ready to put this car up for sale..I love to go on day trips and I need a car that can handle that and I loved my Caliber till this happened...so not happy...
Its sad the dealership didnt even know what was going on. They had it for 3 days and a local transmission shop had it another 3 days and neither one could figure it out. I am done, I want a dependable car that I can drive all over creation. This past Friday I sold my Caliber. I have heard other people tell me they too had issues with the transmission overheat light coming on when they go on trips. My parents live 4 hrs away and I go up there at least once a month so I have to have something dependable. Its sad because I really liked it..
What good did that do selling it?Guessing you did not tell new buyer about issues so you could sale it at value.Passing Issues on to other people is not the right answer and plain wrong! If thats what you did. This is why people buying used autos get money pits.Pretty soon you too will buy one that has been passed off as a reliable car only to find that its a money pit. Then this will be the norm if people keep selling cars with unsolved issues.....
