A month ago my wife said the radio quit working so I did some research and seen it could be the TPIM. I took both battery cables off and touched them together to reset the computer and it started working again but its done it 2 more times. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it. 2007 Caliber SXT with the Boston Acoustic sound system

 

Could be a bad radio, or perhaps there is some corrosion on the bottom of the TPIM.

 

If the radio was bad wouldn't it just quit and not come back on. Is the TPIM hard the clean

 

I have never pulled the TPIM on our 09, so I can't say. Some electrical cleaner and maybe a soft bristle tooth brush. The radio is controlled by the PCM so I would think that the radio itself may be ok. Ours has the musicgate system too. Pretty impressive for a factory setup.
