So it does not shut off when you shut it off?

Some accessories have a delay and will stay on for a certain amount of time, or until you open a door, after the key is turned off. It is normal.

lxman1 is correct; if you sit in the car and take out the key, the radio and a few selected items will have power on them for about 2-4 minutes unless somebody opens a door, then it kills it immediately. It's nice when you're listening to a song on the radio you can shutoff the car and listen to the end; you can also 'buy another 3 minutes' by turning the key to 'accessory' and back off and out and it restarts the shutdown timer.
