Default 2007 caliber 2.0 sxt No brakes

Hey guy and gals I have a 2007 dodge caliber on which I replaced the brake pads yesterday. I didn't bleed them afterwards because I never have in the past. After the pad change there was no brake pressure. I decided to bleed them but the pedal would never build up pressure to push out the fluid. I thought maybe there was just a ton of air in the line so I went and bought a vacuum bleeder but it wont pull any fluid out either. Over the course of the last year or so a few (maybe half dozen) times the brakes have go really soft and needed to be pushed nearly to the floor before good braking would start. This would only last about 5-10 mins and everything would go back to working like it should. I sat out there with the vacuum bleeder for probably an hour and was only able to get aoubt 3 oz of fuild. I started at the passenger side rear with the vacuum and haven't tried any other bleeders with the vacuume but I did try them all with very little success with the pedal. I've ordered a mc but I'd like to see what else I can do to narrow it down.

Default find the leak

Shouldn't need to have to bleed to change pads (like you said). With the other issues from the past I would find the leak before replacing the mc. Pull the rear drums, inspect all lines, and look for leaks, which may be the reason you are not pulling fluids.
I like to have someone pump the petal while bleeding individual lines and then know which line has air in it, then know where to look for leaking problems. 3 oz. is a lot of fluid. I have replaced rear brakes springs, hardware cleaned it up but never had to replace wheel cylinders but I think you need to find where leaking and not being able to bleed. That is a very positive process to get air out and solid petal.
Good luck and safe driving.

Could be an issue with the ABS unit.
