Default brake light on dash - Help - Inspection needed

I have 2008 Caliber SE

I have the brake light on my dash. I have brake fluid, I have replaced the brake fluid level sensor.

where do I go now?

I can't get an inspection til this is fixed.

Thank you,

Steve

I just checked the contact on the parking brake, it appears to be fine.

A friend mentioned something about the proportion valve pressure switch?

Anybody have any ideas on this?

Thank you,

Steve

Did you check the parking brake switch with a meter to verify that that there is no continuity with the handle down? I would check the master cylinder switch the same way. There should be no continuity on either if the fluid level is good that the parking brake lever is down.
Also, does the light go off when you unplug the master cylinder switch?
