Default 2 doors won’t lock please help

I have just bough a 2006 Dodge Caliber 2.0 SXT Sport diesel. UK Spec.. Very happy but 2 doors, drivers door and the diagonally opposite doors do not lock. Using the fob or doing it manually by pushing the button/ sticks up and down. Nor using the lock all doors inside the car. The buttons/ sticks feel fine and move up and down fine but those 2 doors won’t lock. Please help and advise what I should do. Also I plan to leave the car for a while with no use, there doesnt seem anyway to unlock the car with the key. Should I leave car unlocked and disconnect the battery? Please help. I love the car, bought it yesterday. The other 2 doors work perfectly.

Welcome to the forum. You should be able to unlock the driver's door with a key. You will have to remove the door panels and inspect the lock rods and actuators, to see what is going on.

Thank you. I have ordered new lock actuators ready to take door panel apart. Daft statement but I don't see a key hole for the car key to unlock the car using the key. I'm not sure the caliber has one. Not the UK spec. Is it hiding some where I don't know?

Found the keyhole. On the passenger s door. Wasn't expecting it there. Now fitted new actuator and the drivers door is now working. Great relief that I can lock the car now.
