Default Gurgling sound

Hi
dont really know how to describe the noise when my 2007 Dodge caliber is running, in park or driving, other than a gurgling sound. Started a few months ago, no real issue with performance except it always feels like it may stall any second, whether idling are accelerating. A mechanic friend of mine seemed to think there is a clogged filter "somewhere" but we replaced oil and air filter, does anyone have any suggestions? Don't even know where all the filters are to check, does it have a fuel filter somewhere?...tried searching the online manual but that was a little difficult.
Thanks for any suggestions!

The only fuel filter that it has is in the tank on the bottom of the fuel pump.

Thanks for that lxman1 is that a pretty expensive job at a shop? Looks way too complicated for me to pull up the back seat etc.

The in tank filter is really a sock, not a traditional filter. The car does not have a normal fuel filter.

It is very unlikely to be the problem in this case.

Do you have any idea where the gurgling sound is coming from? Coolant?

Did you try to read the trouble codes from the ECU?

I would take the car to a dealer and have them diagnose it.
