Default 2007 Caliber - How bad are the front suspension problems

I was all set to buy a very clean used Caliber (2007 base model) with fairly low mileage (103K), but during the test drive, I could hear some clunking sounds up front. I decided to pass on the car but told the dealer about the noise and he put it in the shop to replace the lower control arms, sway bar bushings, and front brake pads. The Carfax makes this seem like a very well-cared-for low-use vehicle (https://www.texasdriveauto.com/detai...liber/76205400) and I'm still considering the car, but then I started running across reports of front suspension problems:

Hands down, the biggest problem with the 2007 Dodge Caliber was the suspension. Literally hundreds of Calibre owners were faced with a suspension that essentially fell apart at a very low mileage. For most drivers this issue was the result of the ball joints and control arms going bad. (https://www.cashcarsbuyer.com/2007-d...%20going%20bad.)
Now I'm wondering if front-end problems are likely to re-occur or if the current repair might likely be a (reasonably) permanent fix and I shouldn't be too worried about aditional problems down the road (so to speak).

Any knowledge of or thoughts on the 2007 Caliber's reported front-end issues or general reliability? I keep getting drawn to these cars because they're inexpensive and have relatively low mileage, but I can't discount the possibility that they're inexpensive because they're crap and they're low mileage because the cars don't run long enough to become hgh-mileage vehicles.
